Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started
How do I become a patient?
The first step is to schedule a 30-minute consultation call with Jennifer. During that call, you’ll talk briefly about what you’ve been experiencing, your goals, whether you plan to use insurance or self-pay, and whether Midlife Health & Wellness feels like the right fit.
If you decide to move forward, Jennifer will send your forms and next steps by email or text and help you schedule your first appointment.
Can I book an appointment online?
Not directly. New patients begin with a consultation call first. After that conversation, Jennifer will guide you through scheduling your first appointment.
How long is the consultation call?
Consultation calls are scheduled in 30-minute blocks. Some may take less time depending on your questions and what you’d like to discuss.
How long is the first appointment?
New patient appointments are approximately one hour.
This gives Jennifer time to review your medical history, symptoms, concerns, and goals, discuss individualized benefits and risks, and begin creating a care plan that makes sense for you.
What happens during the first appointment?
Your first appointment includes a comprehensive review of your medical history, symptoms, concerns, and health goals. Together, you and Jennifer will create an individualized care plan. Depending on your needs, that plan may include lab work, imaging, medication, lifestyle recommendations, or other next steps.
What happens after my first appointment?
Follow-up visits are used to see how your care plan is working and make adjustments when needed.
Jennifer may also continue working with you on preventive health, longevity, bone health, cardiovascular health, metabolic markers, nutrition, and other areas that support long-term wellbeing.
